Dear Mount Whitney Pioneer Families,

Welcome to the 2026-27 school year! The entire staff at Mount Whitney is absolutely thrilled for the upcoming months, as it promises to be another incredible year filled with academic growth, strong relationships, lifelong memories, and achievements. Whether you are a Mount Whitney alumnus, a returning family, or joining the Pioneer community for the first time, the Mount Whitney staff is excited to partner with you.

As we look ahead to exciting new possibilities, our mission remains the same: to provide every student with an exceptional educational experience. We are committed to meeting each student where they are, providing tailored support, and expanding their academic knowledge, skills, and talents. As a school community, we will continue to center our focus on student safety, needs, and learning outcomes. This is made possible through the hard work of a dedicated staff that has always been deeply student-centered in its decisionmaking.

It is an exciting time to be a Pioneer, and we invite you to fully participate in building and sustaining a culture of high expectations. We ask that you join our parent organizations like the PTSA, School Site Council, ELAC, or the Pioneer Foundation. Stay connected by maintaining open communication with your student’s teachers, counselors, and the administration team. We also invite you to show your Pioneer Pride by attending our athletic games, student performances, and campus events to cheer on our students and the school community.

We are stepping into this new school year with a shared vision to inspire, excel, and bring our entire Pioneer community closer than ever before. Central to everything we do are our school-wide expectations of P.R.I.D.E. (Positivity, Respect, Integrity, Determined, and Engagement). By anchoring ourselves to these core values, we ensure that every student feels supported, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential.
